Traveling Through Paris and the Heart of France

There is a good reason that France is one of the world's top destinations.  France has something for everyone.

If you love stories of kings, queens and nobles, their love affairs, tragedies and assassinations; or if you love visiting luxurious palaces and chateaus and seeing how royalty used to live, France is the place to go.

If you love picturesque medieval villages, Gothic cathedrals that soar to the sky, and Biblical stories immortalized in stained glass, you're going to love France.

If you enjoy art and museums, France has the Mona Lisa, the treasures of the Louvre, and some of the best collections of art in the world.  If you love Impressionism, you will be overwhelmed with the works by Monet, Manet, Renoir, Pissarro, and Van Gogh.

If you love Monet, you are going to love visiting his home, studio, gardens and water lilies at Giverny that were the inspiration for so much of his later works.

If you are interested in learning about the sacrifice and bravery of U.S. and Allied soldiers who stormed the beaches of Normandy on D-Day, you really should visit and see it for yourself.

I love to travel and take photographs, and this tour gave me ample free time to do so, even though the weather was not entirely cooperative.  C'est la vie.  Be sure to visit all of the galleries to see many more images from our trip.

Happy traveling! "Vive la France!"
